The 3R Project is Beaulieu Australia’s local carpet recycling initiative designed to support a circular economy. It enables customers to return used Beaulieu carpets so they can be reclaimed, rethought, or renewed, giving carpets a second life and reducing waste. This initiative is a reflection of Beaulieu’s commitment to sustainability, product stewardship, and responsible resource use.
Carpets are returned and assessed, then sorted into three circular pathways:
1. RECLAIM – Carpet in good condition is cleaned and re-sold, no extra processing, no extra footprint.
2. RETHINK – Worn carpets are separated and rejuvenated using in-house technology, restoring appearance and extending use.
3. RENEW – End-of-life carpet yarn is regenerated by Aquafil into new nylon, used in manufacturing brand-new carpet.
